Faktor-faktor yang Membantu dan Menghalang Pembelajaran Orang Dewasa: Implikasi kepada Pembangunan Sumber Manusia

Abstract


RINGKASAN: Kebanyakan ahli psikologi bersetuju bahawa asas kepada pembelajaran adalah mesti berlaku sedikit perubahan pada diri pelajar. Ia mungkin perubahan dalam penguasaan pengetahuan atau kemahiran baru, satu perubahan dalam sikap atau perubahan pada kepercayaan. Terdapat pelbagai bentuk pembelajaran yang sentiasa berlaku dalam pelbagai situasi seharian. Pembelajaran tidak semestinya terhad kepada persekitaran formal. Malahan, proses pembelajaran sebenarnya banyak berlaku dalam keadaan tidak sedar dan tidak disengajakan. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang boleh memudahkan proses pembelajaran, tetapi terdapat juga faktor-faktor yang menghalang pembelajaran. Adalah menjadi tanggungjawab pendidik/pengajar untuk memastikan bahawa pelajar dapat belajar dengan berkesan. Maka, pendidik/pengajar perlu menyedari keadaan yang kondusif supaya pembelajaran itu berlaku dan mengenal pasti faktor-faktor yang boleh menghalang pembelajaran. Artikel ini akan membincangkan konsep pembelajaran dan pembelajaran orang dewasa, faktor-faktor persekitaran, faktor-faktor berkaitan dengan fasilitator yang dapat membantu dan menghalang pembelajaran, dan juga menentukan strategi yang berkesan dalam pembelajaran. Implikasi pembelajaran orang dewasa kepada pembangunan sumber manusia juga akan dibincangkan dalam artikel ini.

ABSTRACT:Factors that Facilitate and Hinder Adult Learning: Implication for Human Resource Development”. Most psychologists agree that learning is considered happened when student has at least slightly changes. It may be a change of new knowledge or skills, a change in attitude or changes in beliefs. There are various forms of learning that takes place in daily situations. Learning is not necessarily limited to formal environment. In fact, learning process is mostly happened in unconscious and unintentional. There are several factors that can facilitate the learning process, but there are also factors that hinder the learning. It is the responsibility of facilitators /educators to ensure that students can learn effectively. Therefore, facilitators /educators should be aware of circumstances or conditions that are conducive to learning and identify factors that can hinder the learning. This article discusses the learning concepts of adult learning, environmental factors, facilitators related factors that facilitate and hinder the learning, and also determine effective strategies for learning. Implication for adult learning towards human resource development will also be discussed in this article.
